We at Fit Teens are immensely proud to celebrate the remarkable achievements of Jay, a shining example of the potential within our program to nurture high-performance youth in rugby league.
Back in April, Jay's parent shared a heartwarming message on Facebook:
"Good morning family, Jay is playing at the Aotearoa Rugby League Tournament and he is RIPPING IT UP all thanks to the pre-season work with Fit Teens. Jay has also been selected Captain thanks to the leadership Jay developed in the Fit Teens programme. Thank you again fam."
This early acknowledgment of Jay's exceptional performance speaks volumes about the impact of the Fit Teens program on developing high-performance athletes. The rigorous pre-season training not only honed Jay's athletic abilities but also fostered crucial leadership qualities, culminating in his selection as Captain at the Aotearoa Rugby League Tournament.

Representative Rugby League
Jay's dedication and talent continued to shine throughout the year. He capped off an extraordinary season by representing the Under 13 New Zealand Māori Rugby League Team in the prestigious 2024 Pacific Youth Cup. This remarkable achievement is a testament to Jay's unwavering commitment, his natural talent, and the unwavering support he receives from his family and the Fit Teens community.
At Fit Teens, we believe in nurturing well-rounded individuals. Our focus extends beyond physical fitness to encompass the development of essential life skills such as resilience, teamwork, and a strong work ethic – crucial attributes for any aspiring high-performance athlete. Jay exemplifies these qualities, demonstrating that success on and off the field is interconnected.
Melbourne Storm Scouts Impressed
In late November Jay had the opportunity to attend a training camp with the Melbourne Storm and again this high-performance youth shone with thanks again from him parents to Fit Teens.
"Thank you Fit Teens family! Jay has finished his year off with an excellent training camp being identified by the Melbourne Storm scouts as being one of the standouts of the training camp and game today. Jay is the only 13 year old in the u14 camp 👏 it all comes back to the work we have all done as the massive village behind him and his journey." the parent shared.
We are incredibly proud of Jay's achievements and inspired by his dedication. His journey serves as a beacon of hope for all aspiring high-performance athletes, demonstrating that with consistent effort, a positive attitude, and the right support system, dreams can become reality.
